FRANKFURT, Feb 4 (Reuters) – Lufthansa (LHAG.DE) and Air France-KLM (AIRF.PA) are circling collapsed UK regional airline Flybe to attempt to acquire its take-off and touchdown slots at London’s Heathrow Airport, Britain’s Telegraph newspaper reported on Saturday.
Lufthansa and Air France-KLM declined to remark.
The Telegraph mentioned the 2 airways have been in talks with the directors of Flybe, which every week in the past ceased buying and selling and went into insolvency for the second time in three years, with all flights cancelled and 276 staff made redundant.
