Kind Power Inc. has initiated the development of Kind Manufacturing facility 1, a battery manufacturing facility spanning 750,000 sq. toes in Weirton, W.Va. Bringing the power on-line includes a direct funding of as much as $760 million, which features a monetary incentive bundle from the state valued at roughly $290 million.
Kind Power is about to start the manufacturing and meeting of its iron-air battery programs, with the intention of widespread commercialization projected for mid-to-late 2024. At full capability, Kind Manufacturing facility 1 is anticipated to create 750 positions.
