PARIS, Oct 21 (Reuters) – The French state will assist any initiative geared toward boosting Renault’s (RENA.PA) partnership with Japan’s Nissan (7201.T), the top of the French state shareholding company mentioned on Friday.
France holds a 15% stake in Renault, which in turns owns 43% of Nissan.
Renault is finalising plans to separate its thermal engine and electrical automobile departments into two separate items amid tense talks geared toward reshaping the strategic partnership with Nissan.
Industrial initiatives had been key for the way forward for the alliance, the top of the shareholding company advised journalists.
