FRANKFURT, Jan 28 (Reuters) – Ford (F.N) executives have indicated they’re keen to carry talks with labour representatives over deliberate structural modifications on the U.S. carmaker’s crops in Germany, the top of the employee’s council at Ford’s Cologne plant stated on Saturday.
Ford stated on Jan. 20 that its deliberate shift to electrical automobile (EV) manufacturing would require unspecified structural modifications, giving rise to fears of job cuts at its German manufacturing websites.
Ford dedicated to an all-electric lineup in Europe by 2030 and its U.S. management has repeatedly flagged that EVs require much less labour.
