Former Crew India fielding coach R Sridhar reckons that being dropped from the limited-overs squads as keeper in favor of KL Rahul ought to rely as a defining second in Rishabh Pant’s profession. Sridhar revealed that the latter labored exceptionally arduous to enhance his glovework following the setback.
Pant was not picked within the white ball squads for the 2020-21 tour of Australia. Rahul was picked as the primary keeper-batter, whereas Sanju Samson was chosen because the second keeper.

“He’ll make a reputation for himself in his personal fashion. How massive that may be, solely time will inform. He’s come on in leaps and bounds as a wicketkeeper. The best way he’s labored his bottom off to enhance his conserving, I used to be very lucky to be a small a part of that journey.”
Having made his worldwide debut in 2017, Pant has represented India in 31 Exams, 27 ODIs and 58 T20Is.
